Feeding recommendation:

Daily ration, example for a 600 kg horse

Feeding guidance & notes:

• General recommendation as a hay replacement: 1 to 1.5 kg per 100 kg body weight per day.
• 1 kg of meadow chips replaces 1 kg of hay. 1 litre weighs approximately 330 g.
• Introduce dry meadow chips gradually and increase the amount slowly.
• For horses that eat quickly, senior horses and horses that tend not to drink enough, soak 1 litre of meadow chips in 1 to 2 litres of water. Only a very short soaking time is required.
• Store hygienically in a cool, dry place.
• Ensure fresh drinking water is available at all times.
