Description
Horses are prone to poor starch digestion and can have negative digestive reactions to being fed grains. This can lead to the over acidification of the colon and even to symptoms of intoxication. In addition, you may see symptoms associated with laminitis.
Nature's Best Digestivo has a high saponin content that could facilitate starch digestion. The supplementary feed also has a positive influence on fat and protein metabolism. Digestivo can be fed to horses with digestive or metabolic problems.
Feeding recommendation:
- Ponies & small horses 7.5 g
- Large horses 15 g
- Spread the Digestivo feed twice a day over the concentrate.
- Use a permanent supplement for starchy rations and horses that are sensitive to starch.
